Situated in the city centre and directly opposite to the extensive and famous harbor, our Youth Hostel is well placed for visiting Hamburg's traditional Fish Market (since 1703), galleries and shops - as well as enjoying the vibrant nightlife and seafarer romantic - the way it was once celebrated in the songs of the German crooner Hans Albers - at the famous 'Reeperbahn' and the neighbouring 'Schanzenviertel', a place of pulsing scene life.
Our Youth Hostel offers capacity for 357 people and facilities include TV, laundry, kitchen and meal services. From the terrace of our hostel, guests enjoy a fabulous view of the harbor.

I had to book very late because of a last second bad luck and of course, rates had got very high because of increased demand but no regret : a very traditional youth hostel maintained in good order with a staff of flawless courtesy. A narrow room although really comfortable and all the other common spaces are bright and large. A subway station just down the stairs outside. No reason to complain except the recurrent failure of the keycard.

Actually this is my best hostel ever. Room was clean, the location was perfect we had to use steps though, and a lot of variety of breakfast with good staff. I’m huge appreciate this hostel if you have other options make you bother, I recommend you to stay this hostel.

The night staff were lovely but the morning ones made this one of my worst hostel experiences ever. Firstly in the morning I was told I’d missed breakfast 10 minutes before it was meant to stop being served. Eventually they let me get something. Then staff came into the room and told me I’d missed checkout at 10:40. My mistake because I thought it was 11. I skipped having a shower and left the room immediately, but they still tried to charge me a late checkout fee. Incredibly arrogant and rude!
