The receptionists were really nice! The hostel is a bit further away from the city center though. The shower was amazing for hostel standards, and it was always kept clean, and the kitchen was ok too (though there wasn’t any oil or lots of spices for common use). I stayed in a mixed dorm, and there were only older men (I was the only girl), so I felt kind of uncomfy at some times. Maybe if you want to feel safe book a female dorm. Decent stay - definitely not as busy as it might be during peak season so I can’t speak a ton to the atmosphere, it was much quieter than I was anticipating and the bar wasn’t open in the evenings despite being advertised as open every night. The washing machine was also out of order and as a backpacker, a working washing and dryer at hostels is a huge incentive for staying so it was a bit of a bummer to find that wasn’t working.
