Tidewater Tourist Park

Tidewater Tourist Park is set in parklike grounds of an historic villa right in the heart of Coromandel town, on the Coromandel peninsula. From our spacious grounds you can take in the gorgeous views of the Coromandel Harbour and the magnificent sunrises and sunsets. A photographers dream.

Tidewater Tourist Park backpacker hostel is only 200 metres to the main street of town and many fine restaurants, Bars and cafes.

The immaculately clean hostel includes a fully equipped recently renovated kitchen, and sun drenched lounge with panoramic views of Coromandel Harbour. Enjoy our beautiful grounds, new BBQ area and renovated Toilet and Shower Block.
WE HAVE ALSO JUST INSTALLED AMAZING NEW FREE UNLIMTED WIFI, that you can access from anywhere on the property to video chat your love ones back home.

Kelvin and Shelley offer all backpackers/guests a very warm and friendly welcome and comfortable stay, they are well informed and are always willing to offer information or advise on local activities, they will also be pleased to help you with your future travel plans around Coromandel Peninsula and throughout New Zealand.

Check in is from 2pm to 7pm daily, If after 7pm (and no phone call from you) you will be classed as a no show and your card will be charged as per the terms and conditions of our cancellation policy, at this point your room/bed maybe re-sold.

Office hours 8.30am to 8pm

Please note we do not accept check ins after our office hours as this can disrupt other guests already on site.
