Cocomama offers the best of both worlds in a super central location in Amsterdam. The luxury and comfort of a hotel and the atmosphere (and budget) of a hostel.
The rooms are all Holland themed and range from private doubles to 6-bed dorms (and everything in between). You might share a bathroom in some the dorms, but those luxurious mattresses and feather duvets are everywhere.
Even more importantly, at MAMA, you're not on your own. Travel stories are shared, as is the dinner table. It's a place where you'll make friends and hang out with other international trotters alike in the private garden or common room, or perhaps cook dinner in the fully equipped kitchen (perfect to keep costs down). And if that doesn't keep you busy enough, the staff organise tonnes of activities including movie nights, drink nights, games nights and family dinners!

It's a nice hostel, but my stay was overshadowed by the hostel having a cat. This is not made clear on the hostel listing. On arrival the polite staff member checking me in said "we have a cat", but just tell us on the listing so I don't stay here and spend my whole time blowing my nose.

Lo que nos sitúa por delante del resto son nuestros pequeños extras, como el alquiler de bicicletas baratas, excursiones en barco privadas, nuestro adorable gato Joop, la mascota del albergue, y nuestra comida gratis en la cocina (pasta, arroz, aceite, especias y café/té). Para pasarlo bien, nuestros huéspedes pueden participar en cualquiera de nuestras variadas actividades, como los martes \'Tight Ass\' (con cerveza y pasta por â'¬ 3), las noches de cine, los cruceros de borrachera o los campeonatos de Nintendo. Nuestro albergue está gestionado y es propiedad de unas jóvenes y enérgicas chicas, que conocen muy bien la ciudad de Ámsterdam. Recomendamos especialmente a la gente que vaya en bicicleta o en barcas para recorrer Ámsterdam, porque te da una visión totalmente diferente de la ciudad.
Nos encontramos cerca del mercado Albert Cuyp (dos minutos andando), la fábrica de cerveza Heineken (cinco minutos), Plaza de los Museos (5-10 minutos) y de los bares, restaurantes y discotecas de Leidseplein y Rembrandtplein (a 10 minutos).
