I really liked this spot! The rooms and kitchen were super clean, the beds were comfy and the rooms were spacious. The first room I stayed in was a bit noisy with the traffic from the street but that’s my only complaint. Breakfast was decent, staff were helpful and kind. Would stay again!

In my first trip to Bariloche,I stayed in four different hostels. When I returned, I chose to stay in Los Troncos again. It is clean, orderly, quiet, has curtains on the beds, and a nice kitchen. Most importantly, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and in particular I would like to emphasize Mattias, who has a wonderfully friendly energy and always makes you feel welcome and at ease. It’s very rare I leave a review, but this is a must. The hostel itself would get an overall three stars, but the customer service is below acceptable. They offer some tours with agencies they partner with, but provide zero information about the tours. When you have questions, they either don’t answer or dodge the question. I had a very heated argument with Manuel at the front desk, because I was about to miss out on a 55k tour due to their mistake and miscommunication.
