Generator Hamburg is a design hotel-hostel located in the city centre, next to the Hauptbahnhof. Guests can choose from shared dorms to private rooms, offering something for everyone. St. Georg is one of the coolest and most central areas in Hamburg and this is where you will find Generator.
It's right next to the central train station in the city center. On the doorstep are great attractions such as Deichtorhallen, Landungsbruecken, Harbour City as well as the historical Speicherstadt or the famous Reeperbahn.
When you have seen and done it all head back to Generator and soak up the atmosphere. It's a destination in its own and a great place to socialise and reflect on your experiences of the day.

In case of no show or late cancellation, the total amount of the full booking will be charged unless the property is informed of late arrival by the guest.
Please note that for free cancellation bookings, all credit cards provided at time of booking may be charged 7 hours prior to arrival.
PETS
We would welcome a dog on property but only when staying in a private room, and subject to a € 25.00 fee per dog per Stay. Only Dog under 75lbs./ 34kg

Backpackers/ solo travelers should not stay here. This is a very poorly run hotel with no kitchen facility or any form of social space. This place is filled with lots of asylum seeking families who are all lovely but it is an awful place and situation to be in, and we felt very sorry for them. Everything costs money - even a cup of hot water from the kettle (only available when the cafe is or bar is open - which it wasn’t frequently). Attitude of the staff reflected the state of the place.

Great location and my room was very nice. But they didn't advertise that their bar wasn't open. I suspect it's because the hostel also serves as an Asylum centre(which wasn't communicated either) which I have no problem with either but maybe they are things that they should advertise so customers can make informed decisions. All in all though a very nice place in a great location.

dirty bathrooms, a lot of kids running around, no privacy in the bunk as there was no curtain. the only good thing is the location. would not recommend
