Lotte Hostel is a unique old house. It is situated in the heart of old town Heidelberg and it's very close to the historic castle, the main shopping street, bars and restaurants. We are an independent hostel. Get to know our friendly staff and the owner and have a chat about who Lotte actually was.
This homely house offers eight guestrooms only, each with a stylistic individual interior decor and with an ambience of living-room cosiness of a family home.
On the ground and first floor of this lovely old house we offer you newly renovated and refurbished dormitory-style accommodation. One dorm is for girls only - they also have their own bathroom close by. Use our new grandma-style kitchen or the cosy living-room.
On the second floor you are welcome to choose from two 60's-style double-rooms and one 3-b

absolutely amazing hostel, by far the best one i’ve had the pleasure of staying in! all of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and it is clear they enjoy what they do. this place really seemed to attract the right kind of people, it is such a welcoming and homely environment. i had absolutely no issues staying in a mixed dorm as a female and at no point did i ever feel unsafe. the facilities, especially the kitchen, are great. location is perfect too. definitely a place i’ll remember.

The best atmosphere, everyone was like a family - we even made and ate dinner together! Carmen, the host, is so lovely and genuinely cares about her guests. She helped me with a taxi to my bus stop when the bus didn’t come and I was afraid I would miss my bus back to the airport. First time solo travelling Europe and this hostel was my first stop, it set the bar very high!
