This mad monkey falls short on all the typical things the expensive hostel chains usually come with. No bed curtains for privacy, no soap in the bathroom, pool closes at 7. And they want no outside food and drink on the property and then triple prices for a small menu. There’s a lot of local places around that you can grab food and sit elsewhere and not having the opportunity to bring food back and eat in the place im paying to stay at really was a bummer (especially because it rains quite a bit).
