The Humpback Turtle is Playa Almejal's first backpackers hostel where the jungles of Choco meet the stunning beaches of the Pacific Ocean.

With our thatch roof cabins and extensive organic garden, The Humpback offers private rooms, spacious dorm rooms, Hammocks, vibing beach bar, communal kitchen, surf board and kayak rentals, a wide range of local tours and activities, as well as our restaurant where fresh fish and home grown herbs keep it tasty.

The town is a classic fishing village, and the people are some of the most hospitable and party focused people one can come across. Whether chilling at the Humpback, trekking through the jungle, relaxing on the beach, or dancing with the locals, El Valle's got a bit for everyone.

Nice location, great staff, great atmosphere and easy to meet people. And whales and other great tours, plus the town of El Valle is just charming in its own unique way.

Insane location on the beautiful Almejal Beach. Nice rustic cabins and beautiful garden. Staff and volunteers make a good vibe, good meals at the restaurant and great guest kitchen right on the beach. El Tigre waterfall was an epic tour
