When you’re travelling on a budget, you can grow accustomed to thinking of stunning views and swimming pools as beyond the reach of your wallet. Thankfully, the Sunset Destination Hostel refuses to see the world like this. With gorgeous rooms that look out over the Tagus River, and a pool terrace that could rival any hotel, you might forget that you’re in a hostel while you’re here. Past guests have been wowed by the ‘great advice’ from staff about the local area, and the hostel is close to the heart of Lisbon’s clubbing scene.
Property Description
Sunset Destination Hostel invites you to enjoy Europe’s sunniest capital in our unique hostel with our rooftop terrace and swimming pool! Our chic, boutique hostel is located inside the Cais do Sodre train station and overlooks the Tejo River. We are centrally located, with easy access to all forms of transportation, and walking distance to the most famous sites in town.
Besides our rooftop bar, We are only a 4 minute walk from famous Pink Street and Barrio Alto, If you fancy a lively party environment.
We offer WIFI throughout the hostel for your logistics and digital nomad needs.
Taste our delicious cocktails at our Hokapi rooftop bar or join us weekly for dinner/BBQ prepared by our in house chef.
Our hostel is also designed with your privacy in mind, and enlarge anti-covid measures, such us transforming our bunk beds, into guest pods ( has a comfortable mattress, a personal light, a locker a power outlet and a privacy polyester washable curtains to help you rest while recharging yourself (and your electronics)
We offer daily activities to make the most out of your stay in Lisbon. Choose from free walking tours, fun pub crawls, Nature tours, and Fado tours for a well rounded experience of Portuguese culture.
Every day around Sunset hour is Happy Hour Time with buy 1 beer/cider get 1 free! At the end of the day, join us for magnificent Sunset views, cocktail in hand, at the rooftop Hokapi bar where you can dance with us and our pop-up Dj's.
We also invite you to practice your green thumb, and learn about sustainability. Roll up your sleeves and contribute to our urban garden full of fresh veggies and fruits.

The hostel was in amazing location with metro, train and bus stops located right beside it. The staff here at the hostel were super friendly.

I absolutely loved my stay at Sunset Destination Hostel! It was clean, the staff was welcoming and kind, and the events that they had planned were so fun. Would 100% recommend and would definitely stay again if I find myself in Lisbon :)

Location was central and staff was nice. Hostel felt rundown. The place was not the most secure especially given that right outside the hostel the area was shady and lots of drunks, homeless etc. some security doors inside the hostal wings did not work. The beds and stairs into beds in the dorms were old and broken. The mattress was super uncomfortable and there were bed bugs. I came home covered in bed bug bites. The odor in the dorm was bad and the bathrooms were rundown. No environment either
