24 hour reception facilities and access YHA Bristol is only 15 minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads Train Station and the Malborough Street Bus Station. Please note there is very little free parking in Bristol, and no car park at the hostel, but there are several Pay & Display car parks near by; directions can be provided on request.

At YHA Bristol we strive to cater for everybody. We have one accessible bedroom on the second floor, with an accessible en-suite bathroom.

Photo ID must be presented upon arrival and match the name and address on the booking. Where a booking is for more than one person, the named person on the booking will need to provide photographic proof of identify that matches the name and address on the booking. Photo ID will also be requested from all other adult guests. These photo IDs must match the name they sign in with at check in. If photo ID cannot be provided, you will be refused entry to the property.

The pub, location, and “face†of the hostel is great, but once you make past the more external facing areas, the elevator smelled like BO, the room smelled like feet, and the bathrooms were awful. Only two loos and two showers per floor, shower turns off every 6 seconds, no place to put your stuff and conditions were quite grim. The “cage†under the bed where you lock your stuff in is also unpractical (height/ quite loud and disturbs everyone around you). Other than that, all was good.

Toilet didn’t flush properly so you’d need to flush repeatedly to get poop down it, sink knob needed a wrench to close it after turning around, blood stains on my sheets. The room was so unbearably hot that some random guy unscrewed the latch so the window could open fully. Shower on one of those stupid timer things and wets all your clothes. No outlet for top bunks and only one for bottom, usb port broken, light broken, electrical hissing and the world’s slowest elevator. Beautiful area though

Clean washrooms - amazing location - seamless payment / 24 hours check-in - you can store baggage even after check out. The room was small but had a sink and served the purpose. Over-all good experience!!
