Very bad place. It looked abandoned. When we arrived there was nobody . The " reception " was full of boxes and garbage. After 30 minutes looking for someone some neighbor called the owner . The room was depressive . And we found a cockroach in the bathroom. When the owner appear some hours later she was nice , but there were no staff in the guesthouse if you need something. The worst place I've in china.

The hostel is near to the bus station. But it is far away from the paddy terrace. It is hard to navigate the hostel as no english written sign in front of the hostel. You need to ask the people around but no one can help you as english is not spoken here.

I stayed during the spring festival; in the evening the owner knocked at my door and invited me and all other guests of the hostel to have dinner with his family. It was a great experience. Besides that, the hostel is close to the city center and the bus station so that it's easy to get transportation to the rice terraces, Jianshui or Kunming. Nice hostel, worth staying.
