Patagonia House is a hostel for backpackers made by backpackers. We know, that during your adventure it’s nice to stay at a fun place full of other travelers, yet cozy, calm, clean and with a comfortable bed.
We are located in the downtown of the city and absolutely everything you need is in a walking distance: main square, bus stops, supermarkets, local market, sightseeings, beach etc.
We provide informtation concerning tours, excursions and other activities.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, so are the beds.
Showers:
Hot water available 24/7.
Kitchen
Our kitchen is spacious and fully equipped, including gas stove and oven. Hot water, tea and coffee are free and available 24 hours.
Common area:
We have spacious dining room and flatscreen TV in case you miss it during your adventure.
Please note :
Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Payment upon arrival by cash

This is the Hostel version of the TV show Samford and Son meets a Favela. A tin shack ready to fall down. I am surprised the Big Bad Wolf has not come by and blown this place down yet. This place needs to get some big and strong cats that can catch the rats that are running around this place. I am not particular, but this has been the worst place I have stayed in.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this hostel is currently unsuitable for staying in. The room was not clean and the carpet was worn to the floorboards in several places. Our bathroom had grass growing through the floor tiles, and the toilet flush was a cork on a piece of string. There was no soap, and the communal bathroom did not have a sink at all.
The owner allowed us to move to a different hostel as long as we paid the difference, which was appreciated.

Bit of a shock when first arrived but settled in alright.
His kid is also very energetic and running about, don’t be alarmed if he hits you and wakes you up at night. The owner however is very hard working and nice.
Not much to do in Punta arenas so only stay one day max
