Unfortunately despite email contact after booking and obviously having paid the deposit when booking with Hostelworld, there was no room for me. I had arrived late and didn’t have confidence the hosts would find something so I booked elsewhere night 1, fortunately they put me in a friends riad nearby afterwards. Wasted a lot of time trying to deal with it sadly. Have not had my deposit back. I’m grateful I didn’t prepay!

We really liked it. The host is super friendly and she speaks perfect english too. They also have a really nice terrace which we didn't use though because we were always away for the day. They also offer breakfast and dinner but for us it was a bit too expensive so we didn't use it. Location is really good because it's next to a main street through the medina which was really nice because Fes doesn't feel that safe during the evening and you don't have to walk through dark alleys to the hostel

I really enjoyed my time at Dar Naima - it doesn't feel at all like a hostel, but a small hotel with a hostel room. Best rooftop view. Owned and operated by a family. Was there for a few days and ended up staying a few weeks. The only thing to make sure of is to look at the prices of the different options and what's involved, and then to add the tourist tax, so that you understand what the final price is and avoid any surprises.
