Located on a quiet side street just a few minutes walk from the bustling Istiklal Street, Jumba guarantees that you will have a relaxing and comfortable stay,whilst also being at the heart of the action. Jumba is run by three sisters and has a chilled, laid back atmosphere that is suitable for any kind of visit. A really nice laid back but social hostel for exploring the antique shops and bars of the Taksim area away from the chaos of the more touristy areas. Usually a good atmosphere on the rooftop terrace in the evenings. I was able to self check in early (8am) after an overnight bus. There usually aren't staff present other than one volunteer so it's self-check in which can feel a bit isolating at first but the owner is nice and comes in most days.
