Building is new and comfortable, all the rooms are bright and exterior with large windows most of them have balconies. Beautiful and spacious common areas, terraces etc. where you can meet new people and have a chill out. There is a communal area with a dining room and free Wi-Fi Coffee, Drinks, pizzas, snacks served from in house kitchen.
The bright, spacious dormitories are heated and have tiled floors. Each has a shared bathroom with a hairdryer.
Solar panels are used to heat the water at Mellow Hostel. Biodegradable cleaning products are used, and there are recycling facilities and energy-saving light bulbs.
The Mellow Hostel has a 24-hour reception.

I read so many bad reviews about this hostel that I lower down my expectations. The location is far but the neighboardhood is amazing, near by parks, forest and amazing views of the city. The staff don't have any training or skills for customer service and hospitality, they do the best they can, they dont even speak spanish! The facilities are great, lots of cool comun areas but lack of cleaniness. It is OK for the price you'll find in Barcelona!

DO NOT BOOK! Absolute worst hostel I have been to. The location is terrible. You have to walk up hills to get there and then climb up the stairs on a side of a mountain. If the tram is closed, which it is late at night, you're screwed. Very tough with luggage.
The room was small and very tight. They fit 8 beds in a room that only took 6. My bed was dirty and the next morning I found that there was food and bread crumbs surrounding the mattress. The container in the bed that held personals was filthy. The l
