Mallki Hostel is your home away from home in the beautiful city of Cuenca, offering a relaxed and comfortable environment to meet fellow backpackers and travellers.
Our British-Ecuadorian hostel is perfectly located to explore all that Cuenca has to offer. Just 5-10 minutes’ walk away you can find the main square, historic centre, markets, football stadium, river walks, parks, bars, cafes and restaurants. We are close enough to walk, but far enough away for a peaceful night’s sleep.
Our shared dorm rooms feature cosy, curtained beds for your comfort and privacy, and power outlets inside the lockers so you can leave your devices charging safely overnight or during the day.
With our 24 hour reception and free bag storage for guests, you can wait for your bed or your bus in our common areas, which include a cosy reading nook, a balcony and beautiful garden. (Please let us know if you will be arriving early.)
We have loads of information and advice about hiking routes in the nearby, picturesque, Cajas National Park, and rubber boots to protect you from the mud. We also have some camping equipment available for rent.

My room had a comfortable bed, nice desk, good internet. Didn't use the shared kitchen but nice to have. Not much atmosphere when I stayed here. Not in the historical center but only a 10 minute walk away. About a 30 minute walk from the bus station.

Underwhelming given previous reviews. No information about the area/ services etc available. Unsafe bunk bed on cardboard base and falling down on the side. Had to come back before 11pm as we were told no one would be at reception to let us back in.

The staff is great, the location is convenient, the only thing is that the bed and pillows were terrible, it was very hard to sleep on the hard springs in the mattress. If they upgrade the beds it would be a good value hostel.
