Santa Maria Hostel

Set in a former elementary school, the building has been completely renovated, retaining its original features and recovering the features typical Madeiran construction with box roofs and wood beams.
The tall walls were maintained as well as part of the original tile and wooden floors.
It is modernly equipped and decorated in an upscale / casual style , offering a comfortable and high quality stay.

The rooms range from private (Ensuites and Twins ) to dormitories for eight people, complete with access to large and modern bathrooms and hot showers 24 hours.
We do have a female dormitory and mixed dormitory, being equipped with bunk beds designed to provide maximum comfort with integrated lockers, individual reading lights and electrical outlets.
Access to rooms is insured by electronic cards.
Bed linen is included and there is also the possibility to rent towels and laundry service on request .

The Santa Maria Hostel has a large common living room with comfortable sofas, armchairs and TV.
Upstairs a mezzanine with puffs and reading area will allow you to relax or use the free Wi - Fi Internet access, that is also available throughout the building.
In the rear of the building, an outdoor area with lounge furniture allows you to enjoy the mild climate of the island.

Also available is a fully equipped kitchen with dining area where guests can cook and eat their meals.
Breakfast is not included in the room rate and you can also enjoy a meal or drink on the ground floors restaurant or bar.

Credit Card Autorization:

The hostel reserves the right to pre-authorize the client's credit card after receiving the reservation, for the amount of one night's stay, in order to guarantee the reservation.
This pre authorization will be canceled after the guest's check in.

Cancellation policy:

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, 50% of the total price of the reservation will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Check in from 14:00 until 18:30
Late check-in will be charged an extra fee of 20€, as an alternative to this extra charge, we can leave at the reception an envelope, with the keys and directions to your room. Please inform us of your decision, in order to organize your arrival.

Customer must send a message informing the check-in time.

Check out before 11:00 .

Please note that for guests with reservations for the dormitory rooms, a negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test result is mandatory to check-in to this property.
