Welcome to the ancient city of Durres!
Durres is a friendly seaside city in the central part of Albania. Its the second biggest city of Albania, after the capital Tirana.
Durres has a lot to offer, from beach, sun, great seafood to the roman amphitheater; which was only discovered in the 1960s. The city has a Mediterranean feel, and you can enjoy this lifestyle by having a coffee or drink in one of the many bars.
We offer free breakfast and wifi. There is also free parking next to the hostel.
The hostel has a nice shady garden where you can relax and lie in the sun. We have 8 rooms, of which 2 rooms are private and have its own bathroom. The other rooms are dorms, varying in size between 4 and 8 beds. There are 2 shared bathrooms with showers and toilets, which are completely RENEWED in January 2018!
Durres is a great place to start some daytrips. As it is centrally located and the major transportation lines run passed the city. You can make daytrips to Tirana, Divjak National Park for birdwatching, Kruja Catsle and many nice beaches like Bishti i Palles or Capi Rodonit. Car rental is available in town, we can arrange this for you.

Very nice hostel, I really liked the design and the plants. Some thing could be improved the bathroom, the rooftop and the Wi-Fi connection, as it is not available in the room and very slow on the terrace. But the staff is lovely special thanks to Rachel and Kyah â¤ï¸thank you guys

Staff, pricing and location was great! Super friendly people and you’re right in front of the main square plaza, €11 a night including breakfast is incredible value. Unfortunately like most older buildings a lot is in need of attention, showers are just curtains and unisex, showers also don’t work properly and are falling off the walls and everything including toilets and bed bunks, air conditioning etc is in need of repair. Probably just very old buildings and facilities however still needs some TLC. Overa

These guys were amazing. I woke up sick the morning after I stayed here and the staff were so lovely and even let me crash in a spare bed for the day before my late night ferry to Italy free of charge. The hostel itself is super well located, nice big kitchen and a water filter which was amazing. Only downside is no AC in the rooms, they were pretty stifling, but it’s on the listing, so no complaints or surprises.
