Property Description
Matilori is surrounded by two mango trees and the amazing Costa Rica wildlife where you can see iguanas, monkeys and hummingbirds. In the 2 community kitchens you'll find everything you need, even free cafe in the morning. Since last year we also have a sofa lodge with TV, books, games and an outside BBQ. Its easy to get social and meet other travelers by participation in game nights, community BBQ's or by joining one of the various hostel tours to explore the surrounding areas.

We have 3 double rooms, 1 four-bed dorm and 1 six-bed dorm, all with shared bathroom and hot shower. The bright and friendly rooms are all well equipped with fans, cupboards and lockers.

Didn’t find this hostel very welcoming. Most of guests and the staff just spoke in German and didn’t make any effort or acknowledge I was staying there.
I didn’t like the inconsistency of the rules ie having to walk around bare foot when inside, but they let the hostel cat come in your dorm and sit on your bed. Nobody in 6 bed dorm had keys - Dorm door left open all night and got bit by mosquitoes. Ultimately I felt I was living in someone’s house and couldn’t relax.
