About

Cabinas Tortuguero is a small accommodation in the center of Tortuguero. This place can be reached only by boat or small plane. The national park is only 200 meters away from the property. Here you can make beautiful canoe trips and hikes. The sea is only a short distance away, after almost 300 meters you're there. All rooms are in wooden houses that have a porch with hammocks. Here you can enjoy the view in the tropical garden.

The rooms are basic, rustic and clean.

The hostel is very clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious, and the surroundings are beautiful, with lots of nature all around. The woman at the reception was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. She helped me with everything I needed and was always happy to give me advice and recommendations. She even lent me her own boots so I could wear them on an excursion, which was incredibly kind.

This place is wonderful for budget travel...clean and centrally located, the staff are very heloful, warm and link you to the best in local guides and others who will help you experience all that this unique Caribbean island community offers -- jungle, the Caribbeam and giant turtles dropping their eggs in a breathtaking experience. Be prepared to slow way down and enjoy this beautiful Caribbean community that is built around the turtles' rhythm and natural events.Very welcomung and memorable.
