You can scuba dive or snorkel in the clear waters and watch the abundant marine life go by. The Royal Palm Reserve is officially 'closed', but visitors are welcome if you call ahead to book a tour (you'll need to pay the guide). You'll discover wild jungle and hundreds of species of birds and insects.
Negril town, the beaches and the West End are walkable in themselves, but to get between them, you'll need to take a minibus or a taxi. Agree the rate before getting in a taxi (usually around $5). If you're flying into Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, booking a private minivan or hiring a car are the cheapest ways to make the 2-hour drive to Negril.
