In the wonderful region of “Alentejo”, at the golden plains of the left bank of the Guadiana River, in the beautiful town of Moura, the “Hotel de Moura” occupies a building of significant historical, architectural and artistic value, a former convent of the “Ordem Hospitaleira de S. João de Deus”, founded in the seventeenth century, and adapted to 'Grand Hotel de Moura' in the year of 1900. The building it is classification as patrimony of public interest. It is a domed building with a tiled façade with Greek trim, masonry openings in the first floor and the other frames in mass and balustrade with statues and ceramic vases. The courtyard and staircase elements are noted. Nowadays, the “Hotel de Moura” is a 3 star facility with 36 guest rooms and 3 apartments.
