Property Description
The hotel is great value for both tourists and business travelers as it is located only 50 meters from the beach and 6 km from downtown Palma. We are family-run establishment allowing us to give personalized attention to our clients. Our rooms were recently remodeled in 2009 to enhance the comfort of our guests.
The Hotel Balear has its own restaurant, serving a generous breakfast buffet daily.
All 54 rooms are equipped with a telephone, air conditioning, central heating and safety deposit box. The majority of our rooms have a terrace overlooking the plaza or sea. All rooms offer Internet access via WiFi and cable for guests with laptops. For guests traveling without a laptop, we offer Internet access in reception as well as other business services.
Reception is open 24 hours a day. We always offer our guests the possibility of a late check-out, availability permitting.

Clean but strange rooms - very ‘cold’ and forbidding. And the smell of drains when you showered or ran the tap was not great.

For a 3 star hotel, I thought it was really good value. The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean, comfortable inc. extra pillows, TV, hairdryer, small bath, balcony where I caught a beautiful sunrise, and the bed was so comortable!
The breakfast was great, with plenty of choice of continental, pastries, fruit, cereal, toast etc so something for everyones taste. The location was excellent being just a street away from the beach with shops and places to eat and taxi rank outside.

Well, hotel in vintage style. Some of entities inside, in my opinion, needs to be renovated. Rich breakfast is available with good value of money. We were provided with 2 different beds instead of big one for two persons. Overall, for weekend the price was up, but it did not match in general. We did not like, that before check-out, if you are leaving the room, you need to provide the keys to reception, it's not secure...
