Welcome to La Suerte's page!
We are a family run eco-hostel, located in the beautiful area of Monteverde. We have a garden, balcony, lounge, communal kitchen and we're only a 10 minute walk away from the local town of Santa Elena. The hostel has a vibrant and cosy atmosphere, with wall art and local plants/flowers.
Our balcony offers breathtaking views of the town, along with the sea (Gulf of Nicoya) in the distance. Not to mention the amazing sunsets!
The kitchen is equipped with stoves, a microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, utensils and all the pots and pans you need to cook with! Along with a seating area and plenty of space for you to store your groceries.
The lounge area is equipped with sofas, a TV (with Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc) and yoga mats.
We have a focus on sustainability, ensuring we recycle our products and food waste. We are looking into adopting solar panels soon too!
Our prices are competitive and worth the accommodation / experience that you’ll receive. As a family, we take pride in the services that we offer. We want our travelers to feel like a part of the family. So come and stay at the best hostel in Monteverde!

Overall a hostel with great potential but it looks to be under construction. The bathrooms seem pretty old and smelly Bedsheets and mattresses need improvement. The entertainment room and staff were nice. Breakfast could be bigger.

we only spent one night at this hostel and honestly enjoyed our stay. however, there was one male member of staff in particular who made our time incredibly uncomfortable. as three young female backpackers, we felt this older male to have a major impact on the atmosphere we felt in the hostel. we tried as much as possible to keep to ourselves, even emphasising this to him but he continuously was around and bothering us. overall he was just extremely creepy and made us feel quite uneasy.
