We’re thrilled to have you here at Roy's, nestled in the heart of nature. Surrounded by monkeys, birds, and the wonders of wildlife, our location is truly unique. Before booking, please make sure to read our hostel description carefully—we want everyone to be happy with our remote location. So, consider this your friendly heads-up! 😊
For nature lovers, Roy's is the perfect spot. Explore breathtaking views from Lion Rock and Pidurangala Rock, or enjoy a scenic walk through rice fields to the nearby lake. Our hostel is an ideal base for excursions to Dambulla, the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, and safaris at Minneriya or Kaudulla National Parks. We’re happy to assist with any travel arrangements.
On a budget? No worries! We offer free activities like cooking demonstrations and sunset walks to make your stay even more enjoyable.
Meals are a treat here—delicious local dishes, mostly vegan, cooked in a warm, communal atmosphere where you can meet Roy and fellow travelers.
For a truly local experience, spend time with farmers in their rice fields, or take a dip in the natural lake, where you might even spot some elephants!

Terms & Conditions:
*Cancellation policy: Free cancellation up to 7 days in advance.
*Check-in is available from 3:00 PM (15:00H) to 7:00 PM (19:00H).( Since your check-in is scheduled for a bit later, you're still welcome to arrive earlier. You can relax in our hangout area or enjoy the swimming pool while we prepare your room
*Check-out: 10:00 AM / 10:00H
*Maximum stay: 4 nights
*No groups larger than 4 people.
*Payment: Cash only in LKR upon arrival.
*Breakfast not included in room rates; available at our café for an additional fee.
*No smoking indoors—designated smoking area available.
*Reception hours: 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
*Free parking is available 24 hours
*No self-driving or going out between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM.( If you have any out door pre-arranged evening events as a couple or with friends, please inform us prior to your arrival. The property can arrange a responsible driver to ensure your safe transport during these hours.)
*Age limit: 20 to 40 (exceptions may be considered with direct contact).

Everything you need in one place. Beautiful setting.
Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. All activities organised for you. Elephant Safari and Sunrise hike to see Lion Rock are a must.

We loved our stay here so much that we came back 2 days after we left! It is the perfect place to meet other travellers and they organise so many activities for you to get stuck into. Cooking class & safari were highlights. All of the staff were so lovely and went out of their way to make your stay great! The rooms, pool, and common area are all spacious and clean! Tilly & Lily

Best hostel I have ever stayed at! The whole team were amazing and go above and beyond to make you feel part of the hostel. It has absolutely everything you need and more, including activities, great food and drinks for reasonable prices!
