Booked the deluxe double room.
Pros - nice staff, good location.
Cons - awful smelling room a bit like mould/damp, couldn’t use air con/heater because an even worse smell came from it. Sheets were dirty and stained. Windows were full of condensation. Shower was broken, we had to hold the shower head whilst showering. Free breakfast is advertised as included but you just help yourself to some fruit from the bowl next to the desk - you have to pay for the actual breakfast.

Had booked a twin room, instead we arrived and they had given it away.. only room left was a shoebox sized room with a tiny, rock hard double bed. Room didn’t even have enough space around the bed to put our bags. No window. Upon arrival, shower faucet wasn’t working. Someone came an hour later to fix it, had to attach a new shower faucet/hose. Not worth spending the extra money on a private room at all. Breakfast “included†was banana and tiny espresso.

Perfect location in the old quarter of Hanoi, next to dozens of cafes, bars + endless restaurants. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in. Stayed on the top floor (don’t mind the hike up) + always seemed to make friends in the stairwell. Staff are beyond amazing, I can’t thank them enough. They’re friendly, knowledgeable and make you feel like family. Room + bathroom was compact but immaculate and well tended. Felt very safe, have to ring the doorbell to be let in at night.
