Check in as a traveller, and leave as a friend. Help yourself to our tea and real coffee and tuck into a free breakfast and bakery. Sit on the deck and gaze at the sea or Centre of New Zealand whilst strumming one of our guitars or reading a book from our international book exchange. Play a tune on the piano in the music room. Lie back and relax in one of our hammocks. Access our free high speed unlimited WiFi, Enjoy hot pressured showers in our delightful colourful bathrooms. Enjoy socialising at the BBQ area with new friends. Make friends with one of our hostel cats. Enjoy a good night’s sleep in one of our spacious dorms or doubles (no bunks!).

A good hostel for a long or short stay. Nice staff and clean dorms/baths. Everyone was really nice and the hostel is sweet and got his own charme.

This place was really not what we expected. Upon arriving to Nelson it was hard to find how to get the place and the road up to the hostel is really hard to navigate. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by a bad odour and the place looked extremely rundown. None of the rooms had locks or lockers and all of our beds had stains. There was also a homeless man squatting on the couch of the common room, which also stank of cigarettes. The staff were extremely accommodating of our requests for a refund
