Beautifully renovated former grand home, atop a hill overlooking Coimbra and the river. Short walk down to Botanic Gardens and Univ of Coimbra and then gentle stroll down to Baixa through old streets.
Superb staff, helpful with recommendations on dining and travel.
Private room on ground floor had comfortable bed and ensuite. Some slight noise from upstairs occupants.
Continental breakfast included of pastries, muesli, cold meats, eggs and fresh fruit. On the balcony with lovely views.
