Pagalu Hostel is a cosy hostel located in Puerto Viejo Town, from where it is possible to walk everywhere or hire a bicycle to discover the beautiful surroundings and beaches to Manzanillo.
The hostel has a nice common area with an open style fully equipped kitchen and you can choose between different types of rooms such as: 4 bed dorms, 6 bed dorms or double rooms with a private or shared bathroom. All dorms are mixed, and all double rooms have a queen size bed. Also, hot water is available, and the towels are included.

Fun hostel but definitely gets super hot at night, even with windy weather and fans blowing on max power. No social environment unless you come with friends or meet them at the beach. Kitchen is solid and comes with more than enough supplies for any dish/recipe. Staff was friendly but not too talkative. There are 2 showers and 3 sinks which weren’t ever too busy. Low rating given because it was hotter than a volcano everynight.. suggest going for somewhere with A/C

Exactly what we were looking for in our first visit to Costa Rica. A lovely atmosphere, helpful staff, clean and relaxing! We really appreciated the shady, green courtyard!
