Property Description
Casa Samay is a small hostel house. It has 5 bedrooms: 3 private rooms for a maximum of 2 people and 2 shared dorms; one for girls (only 3 single beds) and one mixed dorm ( only two bunk beds). 2 shared bathrooms and a complete kitchen. Outside it has a front patio and a large outdoor living room with separate rooms. Casa Samay is ideal for you if you are looking to meet other travelers as interesting as you from all over the world, but at the same time you are looking for a quiet and uncrowded place.
We are a block and a half from the municipal market and 9 blocks from the ferry. A few steps away you will find a 24 hour pharmacy (where you can also find snacks and sodas), money exchange, bakery, ice cream shop and some of the most popular local food establishments such as Chilangos Taqueria, Los Sera's, Kooben Laab and Los Moros del Morrito.
Our private rooms have a double bed, two fans, a desk with a chair, two bureaus and sockets near the bed. One of the rooms have a large closet. The dorms has lockers for each person to keep valuable things. The whole house has free high speed wifi. Casa Samay has vintage style rooms with touches of wood and various color combinations. The decoration has been done by the owners themselves.
On the premises we have nice bicycles for rent and also snorkeling equipment for rent.
Casa Samay Cozumel Terms & Conditions:
Cancellation policy: 2 days before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the 100% of your stay.
Check in from 15:00 to 20:00 .
Check out at 10:00 . but we have lockers to storage bags if guests need to do more activities on the island after that time.
Payment upon arrival by cash only.
Taxes not included - VAT: 16% + local tax 5%
Breakfast not included.

Reception hours: We do not have a reception, the entrance is AUTONOMOUS. We have a safe at the entrance with a key to enter.

I can 300% recommend Casa Samay. It was so far the most amazing hostel I have stayed in Mexico. The atmosphere is very familiar, the stuff & owners are very friendly and helpful ( they told me where to get medications & a free consultation when I was sick). The rooms have AC, the dorms are very clean& there is a kitchen with everything you need to book. It is at a very calm place and you can rent bikes, snorkeling equipment or book diving classes with Miri, which i highly recommend!(+ discounts)

Would definitely recommend. Miri runs the hostel and a dive shop (snorkelling & surfing as well). She showed genuine interest in our well being and great hospitality. The hostel is clean and has a decent kitchen.
I would also recommend the diving with her. Not only is the price decent compared to the other dive shops, she also has a lot of marine knowledge to convey. You can feel her passion for diving an the ocean inhabitants.

I loved this hostel! Dorms with AC and great vibe, it's a cozy, clean home, perfect if you are looking for a chill place to stay during your dives in cozumel. When you talked with Miri you really felt her love for the ocean and diving.
