Posada El Palomar is a Colonial house constructed in the traditional Adobe architectural fashion. The inner courtyard is a central tranquil space with a beautiful fountain made of local pale pink stone, surrounded by hand painted ceramic tiles and gorgeous flowers. The perfect hang out space to sip wine and snack on our fresh tapas while you plan your next venture out.

There are 2 spacious and light filled floors, 7 double bedrooms and a spacious Dormitory with cubicle style beds with personal lockers. The upper floor has a balcony with a very romantic view over the ceramic rooftop and beyond, it’s the perfect spot to be when evening arrives with a sunset of pastel colours to bathe in. Silhouettes of ancient palms trees accentuate the history of this magical town. All of our rooms have natural light and are fitted out with wooden beds and brand new comfy mattresses and pillows, all made by our local community as are the colourful cotton bedspreads and seagrass floor mats and bedside bureau’s. The decoration of the Posada is an inspired reflection of all the wonderful local Artisan’s. Your journey into local life starts here, with us, in El Palomar.

We can also put you in touch with local organized tours of the area, organize your taxi pick up from the nearest airport Morelia, approximately and hour and a half from here or give you instructions of where to get the bus.
