Elsewhere Surf Camps, Sri Lanka opened it's doors in late 2015 and quickly became famous for being the loudest most outrageous crew of surf and party frothers Sri Lanka had ever seen.
Our brand new camp, complete with swimming pool, bar and restaurant is only 50 meters from the sand in the middle of Weligama. This means you can be in the water and surfing within minutes.

A Typical Day Looks like
Good Moaning: Wake up and smell the coffee. Enjoy a healthy and delicious buffet breakfast complete with free flow coffee and tea. Fruits, oats, breads, eggs, pancakes, smoothie bowls, bircher muesli, nuts, coconut yogurt. You know the delicious kind of stuff. Even pack a little extra for your surf trip if you so desire. All dietary requirements catered for.

Surf time: Join your surfing group and head to the beach of the day. Based on the weather and swell conditions, our internationally qualified instructors will carefully choose and transport you to the best surf spot to match your surfing level. Enjoy an action packed morning in the waves with your new Elsewhere friends and instructors. Be sure to smile, our photographers are there to capture your most amazing moments and your funniest crashes (essential viewing content for surf analysis later in the day)

Lunch: Returning to Weligama for lunch, check out one of the amazing, world class cafes that Weligama has to offer. Our staff will help you and your group choose the best places to dine at.

Afternoon Analysis: Let’s review your morning surf lesson in the theater. We will give you some theory, tips and tricks and help you improve your technique by analyzing your photos or videos. Now is the time to ask any questions about surfing in general.

I do what I want: The afternoon is at your disposal. Free surf session for those frothers (surfers with limitless energy) Maybe some shopping or some other optional activities? (see above). Or just take a nap by the pool and save up your energy for something else, maybe a party this evening?

Golden Hours: 5 – 7pm are the golden hours, where we either host a pool party or take an ice box full of drinks down to the local beach for sunset. A few frothy ones, cocktails and some chilled out tunes. Golden Hours are our jam mam.

Dinner: 6 nights a week we lay out a buffet dinner at the camp. From BBQs to local cuisine, it’s a social event where we get to laugh about the days antics and share our stories. It’s all you can eat and we cater for all dietary needs.

Bit of a boogie: Enjoy a night out with your new surf camp friends at one of Sri Lanka's epic parties. Elsewhere hosts the best parties of any surf camp, ever. We have official organized pool parties followed by a bbq and a night out on the town twice a week. You can also, literally, party every night if that is your thing. Sri Lanka never sleeps, there is always a party going on somewhere.

Rest, recover, repeat: I know it’s boring but you have to sleep at some point. All bunks are fitted with their own lights, power points, lock boxes and privacy curtains. Goodnight. See you in the moaning.
