We have mixed feelings about funky monkey. When we arrived there was nobody around and we had to wait more than five minutes until the owner came (only because two guys from the other side of the street saw us ringing the bell all the time and called him). We were really lucky it was not dark yet. The room was not super clean, but it was okay. The AC was working properly and there was a kitchen we could use. Also the location was nice. However, we wouldn't stay there again.

Convenient spot for grocery store, airport, bus station, maybe more- I wasnt there long enough to explore. Check in was easy and the staff nice. Not a strong social atmosphere by any means. Private room smelled like bathroom cleaner, and the bathroom didn’t appear very clean.

It's super close to the airport, which is what I was really looking for. There isn't much to do in the neighborhood around, but if you want dinner/need to pick up any items, the Mall del Sol is REALLY closeby (but that is really all there is). Which, to be honest, that was fine :)
It's a pretty small hostel so there was only 1 other person staying there. She and the receptionist invited me out to talk for a bit so that was nice!
The room was clean, there was a cat... Convenient for 1 night.
