Kin Balam Cabañas

I think this hostel is great if you want to spend a night or two. However the pool is really not clean and the atmosphere is very bizarre. We were next to a local family with a lot of screaming kids and backpackers. But overall our room was clean and the facilities were good!

I thought this was a beautiful place however the atmosphere was really missing. There wasn’t much to do at night besides eat at the restaurant which was pretty overpriced. The pool was ok during the day however found it pretty dirty at times. Also if you check out/in early and you need to store your bags somewhere, there are lockers but they make you pay for it which I found pretty ridiculous.

Unique and exciting location in the jungle with easy access (collectivo) to both the Palenque ruins and the town. Comfy beds though shared rooms basic and small for the price. Common kitchen not well equipped and nowhere to store food. Difficult to cook if multiple people in kitchen at same time, restaurant ok but expensive. Staff extremely helpful - huge shout out to Romeo at the travel desk who was a massive help with multiple different excursions and travel.
