Property Description
At Falling Lakes we are adventure and nature enthusiasts, who are keen to show you what Plitvice Lakes National Park and the surrounding area has to offer. Here is some very useful information for you before you book with us:
· Location & how to get to us: We are a 15 min drive from Entrance 2 in a town called Korenica. So please book your bus to Korenica and not Plitvice to get to us. You can purchase bus tickets directly online on -> getbybus.com. From the Korenica bus station we are just a 5 min walk.
· Shuttle to the lakes: We offer a daily shuttle (for all guests staying with us, no limit) at 8:00 in the morning, returning at 16:00 to entrance 2, oneway price of the shuttle is 3,50€
· Buying a ticket to Plitvice in advance: we recommend that you buy your ticket in advance for entrance 2, entry between 8:00-9:00 (for this slot) on the national park’s official webpage. There is a significant student discount, so bring any student ID you might have and it should work.
· Outdoor activities: Besides visiting Plitvice to get your nature fix, you can partake in many other outdoor activities while staying with us. Here are our three highlights: 1. the pljesevica mountain trek that leads up to a famous military base called Zeljava from former Yugoslavia (this free hike starts right outside the hostel and takes you to the border of Bosnia with stunning views, hint: it is the hike with the awesome rock in the picture), 2. white water kayaking (a full day of going down rapids and waterfall jumping, no previous experience required), 3. Mrsinj grad hike (sunset hike, gorgeous views, remnants of an old fortress). There are numerous other hikes and activities you can do in the region just ask us when you check-in :) Find us online on our webpage for more info. You can sign up for any activity directly upon check in.
· Hostel related info / services: Please note that our RECEPTION CLOSES AT 10 pm, so make sure to arrive within our reception hours. E-mail us if you cannot arrive before 10 pm for late check in instructions. Our other hostel services include: free parking, free linens, free locks for rent, towels for rent, shared fully-equipped kitchen, luggage storage, outdoor patio, BBQ, and lots of free activities and events

If you want to be close to Plitvice and have plenty of opportunities for hiking, I do not think one could hope for a better hostel.

had a lovely time here! everyone was super friendly and each night there was an event happening - we had board game night and a ‘family’ meal

Very friendly, very clean, one of the first hostel kitchens I've used that didn't gross me out. The staff are lovely, and the shuttle to the national park is very convenient. Absolutely coming back, maybe in summer next time so I get to experience the national park with a little bit of sun
