We really liked the concept of this trendy hostel. Rather good location, comfortable beds, clean and extremely good value for your money if you choose to sleep in a dorm. On the negative side, we didn’t like the fact that we needed to bring our own padlock to keep our bags safe when we left the room. There are smart padlock-free solutions for that. We also didn’t like the “welcoming” of one member of the staff. We felt as if we were bothering her when just asking a couple of justified questions.

The staff were very helpful, can't speak too much on the atmosphere as I didn't spend much time in the shared areas but looked inviting. Meals during the day available for a cost, breakfast looked to have a good spread. I'd suggest earplugs and eyemask, the wooden beds are comfortable but slightly creaky so could have interrupted sleep if you're a light sleeper. Location is great, short 2 min walk from the Jardin Botanique tram stop and direct line from airport. Ideal.

It is difficult to locate on the right bank and not well signposted, but once you know, the tram link to the city centre works well. The restaurant/ bar is the showpiece, and definitely worth some of your euros, although there is a little advertised guest kitchen on the mezzanine for the self caterers. It’s a restaurant/ hotel that provides some hostel accommodation, so more suitable for the independent traveller than the young party crowd.
