The owner and his fiancee cares about the guests and they are helpful, both in person but also on social media. Good showers outside the dorms, nice area (with easy access to restaurants, pharmacies, shopping, ATMs), and I also appreciated the indoor smoking room. This hostel suits someone who's an experienced, independent traveler. If you're a first time-foreign tourist in Mumbai and need a lot of social exchange and support, I would recommend a different hostel for you. But all good!

Not sure how this place scores so high. It’s not in a very good area. Pay a euro or two extra to stay in a nicer part of Mumbai. It’s nothing special, not worth the higher price. Rooms are fine, toilets and showers are good. No atmosphere. They try to scam you before you leave for holding your bags even though they’re not placed in a locker. Just tell them no. Staff are ok. Down a narrow alleyway can be hard find or feel dodgy at night.

Good place if you need a place to stay between flights. Checkin went smooth, beds clean, washrooms good, hot water quickly available, a bit littery with leftover shampoo and soaps from other travelers, security could be improved, my locker under the bed was broken and couldn’t be locked
