Site 61 Hostel

Site 61 Hostel offers a homey setting for meeting other travelersl. There are a mix of private rooms and dorm rooms. At Site 61 you will find a friendly staff, free Wifi, securitycameras that monitor the public areas, complimentary coffee and tea, and grab-and-go breakfast.

The building was built about 1912 as a family residence and rooming house. It is located on Hwy 61, which was the main highway into New Orleans, before the Interstate highway system and runs all the way to St. Louis, Mo. The building was designated Historic in 2014. Then it was redesigned and renovated, to add modern conveniences, such as air conditioning, ceiling fans, and more bathrooms, while preserving many early-20th century features. There are great restaurants nearby, free street parking, and convenient public transportation.

We require a minimum booking of 2 nights.

No curfew/ 24 hour access to the hostel with keys/key codes. Quiet hours are observed Indoor from 9 PM until 7 AM and Outdoor from 10 PM to 7 AM

Smoking is permitted only outdoors, on balconies, porches, and patio.

Guests must have a valid foreign passport, out-of-state ID, or a Louisiana ID at least 35 miles from New Orleans.

Pets are not allowed.
You must book a private room and notify the accommodation in advance, if you have a service animal. No individuals under the 18 are allowed unless through a whole-home group buy out.
