Grey Nuns residence is the best kept secret in Montreal for budget travelers. A beautiful heritage building in the heart of downtown this former convent is now run by Concordia University as a student residence. During term time it houses nearly 600 students but in summer anyone can enjoy this amazing location for a fraction of the price of neighbouring hotels.

Although it is situated in the heart of all the action Grey Nuns has a large, shaded garden where you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Enjoy a picnic by the fishpond or play a game of beach volleyball.

Bedrooms have 1 or 2 beds and you will never be sharing with someone that you don't know. We provide bedding and linens and each rooms has a sink, a refrigerator and an unlimited high-speed wifi plus 24 hour security. Washrooms are located in the hallways and are shared. There are shared lounges and kitchenettes on each floor plus access to laundry facilities which make it a great option for a short break or longer stay.
