It’s a good hostel, although we had some issues as they charged us the full amount and didn’t deduct the payment to HostelWorld. The staff are nice, but seem to not be fully trained as it took hours to check in and to fix a small booking issue. They only speak Spanish. We booked a volcano trip and it was quite a cumbersome and unclear process, even as we speak Spanish. There’s a huge dog running around the property, in case that’s a concern. It’s friendly, but not all were enthusiastic.

I came to visit Antigua during a busy season. I wanted a private room and saw that they had a 'glamping option' as a private room. The photos shown on the website DO NOT MATCH what you get. On the photos, it shows that glamping comes with a high quality 16 foot Canvas Tent. Instead, what I got was a cheap basic 10 x 10 Coleman tent. When I told staff that the photos did not match the product I'm getting, they just smiled back. Canvas tent is really good at dissapating heat, making it bearable staying in the tent when the sun is directly beaming on you. In this Coleman Tent, you are sweating, making it feel like a sauna. Since it's the high season and all private rooms are sold out in the area, I had no choice but to suck it up and deal with the scam. The showers are also poorly done. They smell and allow water to pool on the side of it. Giving off what I can best describe as sewage smell.

This hostel has great potential to be something really cool but it just falls short. No atmosphere, hardly anywhere to socialise inside other than a small dining table, awkwardly right next to reception. No events. One dodgy guy was hanging around one afternoon asking me for money or clothes, not from the hostel, no locks on dorm rooms. The pool/outside area was really nice and the 'pod' dorm was comfortable, showers were hot and the kitchen was fairly well equipped.
