Poramba Hostel

This hostel was very dirty and some things needed repair. The air conditioning only comes on from 10pm and the room was very, very hot. The air condition unit was very noisy. There was not enough lockers in the room for everyone and there was no lock on the door. The staff at check in were not very helpful. The location was good, an easy walk from the bus station. The shower had good temperature and pressure, even though it was dirty

Had a great stay at Poramba as the facilities are great and the staff are even better. It’s a quiet hostel so it suited our needs perfectly. Gaston was honestly amazing and even when I injured myself he drove me to the hospital and helped me settle the hospital bill.

The staff were so nice and helped us a lot with questions we had of the area, but we did not like the facility at all the pool was dirty with a lot of fire ants that bit us, the room dirty was full of mosquitoes and bags and we couldn’t get rid of them at all. You can only turn on the ac from 22:00-8:00 and it’s so hot in the city. There isn’t any fans around only in the reception. It’s so hot to cook in the kitchen!
