Site 61 Hostel

Great place ! Would stay there again.

The staff here are lovely and kind but the place is filthy. The air ducts and fans are covered in inches of dust. The sheets and towels are stained, the bathrooms are dirty. There just needs to be some more thought put into the comfort of the guests. The top bunk mattresses are so thin you can feel the slats underneath you. The bathroom have nowhere to put your things while you get ready and towel racks that aren’t secured. The doors need new locks - all of the hardware is loose.

Hostel ignored two emails I sent after having an issue with payments. They still hadn’t replied to me until the day I was meant to be staying there. I tried to find somewhere else but it was Mardi Gras and every single place was booked up, so ended up having to go there anyway. The building was completely empty and no one answered the doorbell, or the phone. Had to pay huge amounts once we eventually found somewhere else to stay. Avoid at all costs
