Florencia is an embodiment of hospitality!! She offered a very warm welcome, was always helpful and offered the best advice on what to eat and do around Copacabana (make sure to go for a walk to Playa Blanca!). She’s simply the best!! Don’t look further. Okay breakfast, clean room, hot shower, good location.

I had a pleasant stay at Hostal Florencia, but I think I was the only one at the hostal! So it was very quiet, except for a rooster that made quite a bit of noise. Clean facilities and the staff were friendly, but breakfast was very simply with hot coffee/tea and break with jam.

Compared to the low quality accommodation standards in South America, this property is a great exception. Room, bathrooms and showers were always clean. The shower had hot water. The bathrooms had hand soap and toilet paper. The staff was always willing to help. The location is nice, just 5-10 walking minutes from the central square and the lake. It's a quiet place. Not that kind of hostel where you can socialize with other travellers. It can be a little cold because there is no heating system.
