I loved my stay in Santurcia Hostel. The staff that works there was friendly and able to answer any questions I had . friendly atmosphere in the hostel, Location is Great! close to almost everything, You can walk to Condado, and to la Placita if you want from the hostel and to the beach if you dont rent a car,, supermarkets, restaurants in the same street, The bus that goes to San Juan through Condado is next door. SAFE AREA and quiet at night. Price is worth it,,I do recommend it ..

The shower handle was falling off and you had to push it and turn it at the same time for it to maybe work The water was HOT or COLD and switched often There was no body wash or shampoo included in bathrooms when other hostels I went to did have that There was only 2 bathrooms working at one point, one bathroom had two showers and only one of those were working I was locked INSIDE a bathroom stall because it wouldn’t unlock when I was done The beds had no curtains no chargers no lights orfan

I’m not sure why this hostel has such a high rating - it was okay, nothing above and beyond or what I think equates to a rating higher than 9.0. The place was clean and in a good location - about 15-20 min walk to Condado Beach. However, there is no social atmosphere and it can get kind of isolating as a solo traveler. I don’t like how there’s no one there after 7PM because there were nights some dude kept playing his guitar at like 11PM. Also, the staff is friendly but don’t offer any info.
