Chunu´u Hostal & Glamping

Everything about this hostel was great! Only reason for the score was the location - just not super close to everything (but not terribly far either). Food is good.

The people at the front desk were very helpful, they helped us get a taxi to Santa Marta when we were leaving and answered other questions as well. However, the atmosphere at the hostel did not give hostel vibes at all. The pool looked like it had not been cleaned and when we looked under our bed to check if we forgot something we saw there as bottle caps, rose peddles, and other stuff underneath the bed. The property itself is quite nice to hang around, with places to sit and chill everywhere.

Amazing hammock-filled property right on the river! There are A LOT of stairs but the property is massive and there’s tons of cozy little nooks to hang out in. There’s a great spot to cliff-jump just down the river and it was wonderful falling asleep every night to the sound of the water. Our Uber from Santa Marta wouldn’t drop us there because of the dirt road so the hike in was a little tricky with luggage but the hostel arranged a cab when we departed which was super easy.
