Roger and Melena were wonderful hosts and the breakfast in the morning was awesome.. overall atmosphere is very relaxing and they can brew a damn good beer as well

Very cool property not far from Parque Central. The owners were more than accommodating and very friendly. Was offered breakfast and they even did a Sunday St. Patrick's Day party. If you like beer, the hostel is a part of a brewery as well. Room was comfortable and very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

I can highly recommend a stay at Hoppy Alpaca. I felt very safe and relaxed the whole time and I particularly enjoyed the complimentary beer from the onsite brewery and the breakfast (included), all for such an incredible price! Roger and Malena (and Gandalf the dog) were brilliant hosts and I will definitely be staying again when I return to Cotacachi.
