Beer Hotel Iguazu

The Beer Hotel probably sounds better than it is. Rooms were nice, but a bit expensive for what you get (showers and A/C worked nicely though). The location isn’t ideal, it’s quite far out of town and it’s hard to get a bus (infrequent and no bus numbers), so you need to use taxi’s. The bar was nice to hang out but no social atmosphere and food was overpriced and not great (and you can’t bring your own). Beer wasn’t too bad, but they don’t have the best selection.

We were quite disappointed as the booking wasn’t in the system and we had to change rooms both nights. The guys at reception were not helpful and had a very unfriendly attitude, the girl at reception was great but unfortunately never our counterpart when we had a problem. We booked the superior double room, but had to stay in a run-down room with broken window and mosquitoes everywhere for one night. The pool was quite dirty, seems like the filter is missing. They had no more pool towels.

The 6-bed dorm was extremely basic, with no curtains and only one shared key available at reception, which was inconvenient. All toilets including the public ones couldn’t be locked, making it uncomfortable. The pool loungers had no cushions, so they were very uncomfortable to use. Information about the airport bus provided by staff was inconsistent, and the internet was terribly slow. Would not recommend.
