Tomariya Ueno was so clean! They provide all the bathroom amenities, even a drying stone! The location is close to the train station in a safe neighborhood. Staff member, Ken, helped me weigh my backpack upon checking out.

The hostel is very clean. Location is fine. It’s about 8-10 minutes walk to a subway station or Ueno station. The room is fine. Unfortunately there’s hardly any storage space next to the beds. They also have the tiniest locker I’ve ever seen in a hostel. Not even an iPad Mini fits in there. And the “suitcase situation” is also not ideal. Often times you need to pull 5 suitcases out to get to yours.
