Hostal El Lobo

Great value for money, lovely spacious place, brekky included. Nice common area. No lockers or somewhere safe to put your bags except at reception which is a bit strange. The walls of the bathroom in the bedroom don’t go up to the roof so it’s noisy and the light lights up the whole room if someone uses the bathroom in the night. The bathroom downstairs was always dirty with no toilet paper. It was a good stay and I would stay again.

Ok hostel - nice big pool, bed have mosquito nets which is great and the breakfast is ok (bread and scrambled eggs). The whole place was very dirty however, bins overflowing everywhere and only one shared toilet/shower which is by the pool so everyone returning from a tour waiting for a night bus is in there. Not much of an atmosphere but isn’t a very buzzy place… nothing dramatically awful just not amazing

In this hostel there is no insulation thus in winter time (July) it gets cold with the one blanket provided. There are 3-5 roosters around the property so no chance sleeping longer than 6:30. In the dorm there are in-room toilets but that is just a corner of the room with thin walls of about 2m hiding a toilet and shower and no sound isolation, thus one hears anyone’s business at night. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Bedsheets were clean and has mosquito nets. Building standard is poor
